Job Description
DAY YO DAY OPERATIONS
- Manage the day-to-day OH&S aspects of the project and to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and complied.
- Maintain Firefighting equipment on board in a state of readiness.
- Stand-by or monitor hot work locations as per the hot work permit requirements.
- Monitor compliance to Hot Work procedure on assigned areas and report unsafe act/ condition.
- Participate in Emergency Drills.
- Fire prevention.
- Emergency Response to rescue of injured or trapped personnel or fighting fire.
- Maintenance of all fire rescue equipment.
- Secondary / High school pass.
- Fire and rescue training.
- Trained as a fireman and served minimum three years training with a national fire brigade / shipyard.
- Good knowledge of Fire and Rescue techniques.
- Familiar with the ship/Rig construction.
- Good knowledge on fire prevention.
- Good awareness about hot work/Fire related risk and other safety related procedures.
