The procurement officer will oversee the procurement process, from identifying needs to negotiating contracts and managing relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and researching potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting the best options for the organization's needs.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions, and managing contract renewals.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, fostering trust and collaboration, and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders, ensuring accurate information and timely delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases, ensuring compliance with company policies, and adhering to relevant regulations.
- Monitoring inventory levels, optimizing storage, and ensuring timely replenishment.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the procurement process.
