We are looking for an exceptionally talented Technology Engineer – Virtualization to strengthen our team. The successful candidate should possess extensive knowledge in virtualization technologies, system administration, and infrastructure management. You will be instrumental in creating, executing, and maintaining virtualization solutions that guarantee high availability, scalability, and the optimal performance of enterprise IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee virtualization platforms (such as VMware, Hyper-V, or others).
- Conduct capacity planning, ongoing performance monitoring, and optimization of virtual environments.
- Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for virtualized infrastructure.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system and application integration.
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot complex problems, and conduct root cause investigations.
- Maintain security compliance, including patch management and updates across virtualization platforms.
- Record and document technical processes, system configurations, and operational methodologies.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in virtualization and cloud technologies to propose enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience specializing in IT infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Strong proficiency in server administration (Windows/Linux) and networking principles.
- Experience with storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and their integration with virtualization environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration capabilities.
- Relevant certifications, such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent, are preferred.
