Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opening for the role of Development Director - Infrastructure - Gaming and E-Sports. This pivotal position will lead the development of state-of-the-art infrastructure to support a vibrant gaming and e-sports environment within our expansive entertainment destination. We are looking for a visionary leader who understands the gaming landscape and can spearhead advancements that elevate the gaming experience for our visitors.
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects that will sustain high-performance gaming and e-sports facilities. Your expertise will drive Qiddiya's goal of being a pioneering destination for gaming and e-sports activities.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Development Lead - Lead the process of infrastructure planning and design. Drive and oversee the construction process in line with strategic development goals, in coordination with delivery.
- Technical Management and Interfacing – Understand the technical coordination and interdependencies, provide required direction to the internal team and consultants towards resolving design issues. Interface with the stakeholders, including Qiddiya City and regulatory authorities.
- Project Management – Oversee the development of project management plan, including high level schedule, resources, quality and risk management. Develop internal resources plan, design review plan and guide the wider team to achieve time and quality goals for deliverables.
- Procurement – Lead the consultant procurement process, including developing RFP, participate in technical and commercial evaluation, and presentation to management.nage the planning and development of infrastructure projects related to gaming and e-sports, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s vision.

- Bachelor Degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering, preferably having 20 years (minimum 15 years) work experience in infrastructure development, with sound understanding of technical design and interfaces.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in infrastructure development with a focus on gaming, technology, or entertainment.
- Experience in projects involving development of events venue and e-gaming arena, strongly desired.
- Experience in full cycle of projects, i.e. from concept to construction completion and handover.
- Knowledge of key engineering components of master plan and infrastructure development, such as Utilities, ICT, Smart City Technology, Security Strategy, FLS and Mobility strategy.
- Strong project management skills including schedule management, procurement of consultant and contractors, change management and cost management.
- Previous experience of working with a reputed developer as Director/Associate Director, and with large multidisciplinary international consultant/PMC as Project Director, or similar.
- Knowledge of KSA authority regulations and previous experience of working in similar program in KSA, will be advantageous.track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- In-depth understanding of the gaming and e-sports industry, including emerging technologies and trends.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to navigate complex timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Strong leadership capabilities, fostering a collaborative environment with internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills to effectively convey project insights to diverse stakeholders.
