Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a Senior Design Manager for Roads (Del 104) to lead the design and development of roadway infrastructure within our dynamic project portfolio. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who is proficient in managing complex road design projects in alignment with Qiddiya's vision of creating a world-class destination.
The Senior Design Manager will oversee the design team, ensuring that all roadway designs are executed to the highest standards while meeting project specifications, safety requirements, and sustainability goals. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and contractors, to ensure seamless delivery of all roadway projects from conceptual design through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of roadway infrastructure including highways, access roads, and internal circulation routes.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and traffic impact analyses to inform roadway design decisions.
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and geotechnical engineers to integrate multi-disciplinary aspects into roadway designs.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and contractors to facilitate effective project execution.
- Review and provide input on design proposals, ensuring alignment with best practices in roadway engineering and sustainable development.
- Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor construction progress, assess compliance and quality of work.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design staff, fostering their professional growth and technical proficiency.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management pertaining to project status and design considerations.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on transportation or roadway design.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in roadway design management, preferably in large scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in leading design teams through all project phases, from concept to execution.
- Strong knowledge of local and international roadway design standards, safety regulations, and sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams and familiarity with construction management processes.
