Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician (Grade-A) to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC systems—including water-cooled centrifugal chillers—to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and efficient school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation & Maintenance:

  • Operate and maintain water-cooled centrifugal chillers from leading brands such as York, Trane, McQuay, Daikin, and Carrier.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, including:
    • Pool chillers
    • Chilled water pumps
    • Fresh air and recirculating air handling units (AHUs)
    • Fan coil units (FCUs)
    • Ventilation fans
    • Chemical dosing systems
  • Operate and monitor chiller plant manager systems and the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Ensure reliable functioning of cooling towers, RO plants, and other plant equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair work to minimize downtime.

Campus Support & Coordination:

  • Support daily operations during school hours and special events.
  • Coordinate with the school operations team to ensure smooth facilities support during school activities.
  • Complete all other duties assigned by the reporting manager, in line with the school's operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / ITI (2-year program) in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in the UAE or GCC, with minimum 4 years in the operation and maintenance of water-cooled centrifugal chillers and cooling towers.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, service documentation, and understanding HVAC schematics.
  • Familiarity with BMS systems and chiller plant manager software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Good communication skills in English.
