700Apps is seeking a Senior Network Communications Engineer to join our engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network communication systems that ensure secure and efficient connectivity for our organization. Your expertise in networking technologies and protocols will play a vital role in enhancing our infrastructure and improving overall network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reliable and scalable network communication solutions that align with the organization’s goals.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network strategies and standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of network security protocols and measures.
- Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and best practices, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and routing/switching technologies.
- Experience with network security measures and technologies, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud networking technologies is beneficial.
