Job Overview:
InVitro Capital is seeking a highly technical and proactive IT Specialist with the mindset and capabilities of a seasoned IT Specialist. This is not a basic IT support role — we’re looking for someone who thrives in cloud environments, builds with an automation-first approach, and brings deep systems knowledge to support our core operations across InVitro and its portfolio companies.
As an IT Specialist, you'll own and scale critical systems, automate workflows, manage cloud-based infrastructure, and resolve Tier 2/3 technical escalations across a dynamic, remote-first team. This is a high-impact role where your technical leadership will directly influence the security, efficiency, and scalability of our operations.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities:
- Systems Support & Scaling: Maintain and scale infrastructure, systems, and automations across InVitro and its PortCos.
- Workflow Automation: Lead automation of onboarding, offboarding, and core IT processes using platforms like N8N, Zapier, Google Admin SDK, or custom scripting (e.g., Python, Apps Script).
- SaaS Integration: Troubleshoot and optimize critical SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, HubSpot, Pioneer, Slack, Notion, and others.
- Device & Security Management: Manage device provisioning, endpoint security, and asset tracking using appropriate tools.
- Access Control: Administer and enforce SSO, MFA, and access policies across multiple systems and user groups.
- Escalation Support: Respond to Tier 2/3 support issues under clearly defined SLAs, ensuring timely responses and resolution across multiple time zones.
- Documentation: Create and maintain up-to-date SOPs, runbooks, and technical diagrams.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for automation, security enhancement, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in an IT Specialist, Systems Engineer, or SysAdmin role within cloud-native or hybrid environments.
- Expertise in managing Google Workspace Admin, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and SaaS systems architecture.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., N8N, Zapier, Make, or Google Apps Script).
- Ability to write basic automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across integrations, cloud services, and system-level issues.
- Familiarity with modern endpoint security and MDM tools (e.g., XDR, EDR).
- Experience supporting distributed teams, ideally across U.S. time zones.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience deploying and managing asset management platforms or remote provisioning tools.
- Prior experience in fast-paced, startup or venture-backed environments.
- Exposure to IT compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with identity federation and access governance best practices.
