As the Assistant Manager - Technology Procurement, you will be pivotal in overseeing the procurement processes for technology-related products and services. This role demands a strategic approach to sourcing and contract management, ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's broader objectives and comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy Implementation
- Coordinate and lead procurement initiatives for technology needs, including drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of proposals from technology vendors, selecting suitable partners that meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and anticipate technology procurement needs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project timelines.
- Continuously monitor and assess market trends in technology to mitigate risks and seize opportunities for value enhancement.
2. Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring consistency in service delivery.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Implement performance metrics for suppliers and suggest improvements when necessary.
3. Financial Oversight and Reporting
- Monitor and manage budgets allocated for technology procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall financial strategies.
- Develop and present regular reports detailing procurement activities, expenditures, and savings, supporting strategic decision-making processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings within the technology procurement framework, optimizing resources effectively.
